Boardcon Launches EM1103B: A Compact SBC for IPC Applications
Author: Boardcon Embedded Design Date: 2025-03-19Boardcon Embedded Design today announced the release of the EM1103B, a single-board computer (SBC) powered by Rockchip’s RV1103B highly integrated vision processor. Designed for IPC devices, the EM1103B redefines intelligent imaging and real-time analytics with its compact design, dual-camera support, and ultra-low power consumption.
Key Features & Innovations
The EM1103B combines an ARM Cortex-A7 CPU with a dedicated NPU for INT8 AI acceleration, enabling seamless deployment of TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Caffe models. Its dual 2-lane MIPI CSI interfaces and 8MP hardware ISP (featuring HDR, 3DNR, and multi-stream H.265/H.264 encoding) empower dual-camera systems to capture, process, and stream high-quality video simultaneously. Built for flexibility, the board integrates Wi-Fi, 100M Ethernet, PoE support, and expandable interfaces for fingerprint sensors (FPM383C) and PIR motion detection, making it ideal for smart doorbells, IP cameras, and industrial vision systems.
Optimized for Efficiency & Scalability
Measuring just 110mm x 70mm, the EM1103B’s modular design separates its 22mm x 19mm core board (MINI1103B) from the baseboard via a 100-pin connector, simplifying customization. With fast boot-up times, RTC, and DDR2/DDR3L memory, it delivers reliable 24/7 operation while consuming minimal power—critical for battery-powered or PoE-based IoT deployments.
